Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the CalShotapp ("app", "we") collects, uses and protects your personal data. The data controller is AI PRO SOLUTIONS d.o.o., Ulica svobode 65, 6330 Piran, Slovenia (info@aiprosolutions.si). We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Slovenian law. This policy is a translation; in case of any discrepancy, the Slovenian original prevails.

What data we collect

• Account data: email address and basic sign-in data (e.g. via Apple/Google sign-in).
• Food photos: pictures you take for calorie estimation. The image is sent to an AI vision provider for dish recognition.
• Nutrition and goal data: weight, height, sex, goal (lose/maintain/gain), meal diary and macros.
• Usage and device data: device type, OS version, basic diagnostics and performance analytics.
• Subscription data: subscription status only (purchases are processed by Apple/Google and RevenueCat; we do NOT store card details).

Why we process data (legal basis)

• Providing the service (contract): food recognition, diary, goal calculation, account and subscription management.
• Consent: processing of photos and health-related entries (weight, nutrition). You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interest: accuracy improvements, security and abuse prevention.

Data sharing (processors)

We do not sell your data. We use trusted processors:

• AI vision providers (e.g. Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude) — for recognizing dishes from photos.
• Supabase — account, database and storage hosting.
• RevenueCat and Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription and payment processing.

Some processors may be located outside the EU; in that case we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

Cookies and analytics

On the website we use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous visit measurement (page views, traffic sources) to improve the site. Analytics cookies load only after your consent via the banner on first visit (we use Google Consent Mode — analytics is disabled by default). You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies and local storage for this site. The processor is Google Ireland Ltd.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. Food photos are processed for estimation and are not kept longer than needed for the diary to work. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted (see Account deletion).

Your rights (GDPR)

• access to your data and a copy of it (portability),
• correction of inaccurate data,
• deletion ("right to be forgotten"),
• restriction of or objection to processing,
• withdrawal of consent at any time.

Send requests to info@aiprosolutions.si. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (ip-rs.si).

Children

The app is not intended for persons under 16. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

CalShot provides approximate estimates of calories and macronutrients to help you track your nutrition and is not medical advice. For health questions, consult a doctor or nutritionist.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in the app or by email.
